Today I will be giving you my review of L.A Noire.

In this open sand box game set in 1947 in Los Angeles, you play as detective Cole Phelps, an ex marine who is now serving with the L.A PD. At the start of this game you start as a normal police officer responding to normal robbery calls, murders and shootouts and as the game progresses your character shows promise and is promoted to detective. As a detective you will solve crimes ranging from traffic crimes, homicide, arson and many more. Now the real unique thing about this game is the animation’s of character’s face’s. You can notice every muscle, every smile, every blink of the eye with this cutting edge animation and it shows when you’re questioning a suspect during a case and you can tell he’s lying based completely on how is face is reacting to your evidence.
Gameplay
This game plays just like most GTA games (seeing as how it was made by rockstar) the gun play is good and the situations of the firefights make them so much more fun and keep you pulled into the story. The real shining pearl of the gameplay is the gathering of evidence and applying that evidence into questioning suspects, it really makes you feel like your solving these cases and cant wait to see what comes next!
Story
The story in this game is incredibly sound and will keep you wanting to know more and more as it goes on. With each new case you get to experience a new way of thinking to solve that specific case. As the game moves on you will discover newspapers at different crime scenes that provide a really cool back story to keep you always wondering what comes next.
Final word
I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who enjoys thinking through puzzles and using your brain to make it through the game… but if you’re looking for constant explosions and bullets flying from every direction then this game isn’t for you.
Gamers Web gives it a 4.5/5!
